Rooted in Spirit

I grew up surrounded by God, whether through structured religion or intrinsic spirituality, and this remains my greatest blessing. The spiritual foundation I was given is something I carry with me every day. While I was primarily raised in the United States, I’ve also lived for significant periods in both England and India. Each of these countries has left a lasting imprint on who I am, shaping my worldviews and inner life in profound ways.

I aim to blend Vedic principles, Sanatan Dharma, and my personal beliefs with the Western ideologies of today’s modern world, hoping to create a ‘blueprint’ for living a more aligned, natural, and fulfilling life. Life, to me, is an ongoing process of transformation, constantly shaping us into who we are meant to become. But here’s the catch: who we’re meant to become isn’t the focus - that part is inevitable, as sure as the passage of time. What truly matters is keeping faith as we move forward, trusting in the process and in ourselves.

My Past

I spent much of my life chasing financial security, a natural byproduct of growing up as the child of divorced immigrant parents. I graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Economics and Statistics, and like many in their 20s, I felt lost and unsure of my path. I eventually landed in New York City, working as an actuarial consultant, a job that many would call the peak of success. I had the “perfect” life: a great apartment, a steady job, and a balanced social life. But deep down, something was missing.

I spent much of my 20s feeling unfulfilled and searching for meaning. It wasn’t until I chose to leave behind what appeared to be the dream, my job, my home, and my relationship, that I truly began to find myself.

My Present

This next phase of my life began with a leap of faith. In January 2023, I left the U.S. and headed to India to pursue my dreams. I volunteered with charities, worked with schools, and completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training. Life felt vibrant and purposeful, as if I was finally on the path I was meant to walk.

Then, everything shifted. My dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June 2023. I returned to the U.S. to become his full-time caregiver. Becoming my father’s caregiver is one of the most impactful experiences of my life, the ways this period of my life has shaped me, I can’t begin to describe. Our journey took us back to India, where he eventually passed away in February 2024. His passing has left a void, and yet it deepened my understanding of life, death, and everything in between.

I returned to the U.S. in April 2024, where I’m now finding my footing once again. It’s been a period of reflection, healing, and re-grounding myself in my purpose.

My story is one of constant evolution, a journey that blends personal growth, spirituality, and life’s unexpected turns. I believe that through faith, self-compassion, and perseverance, we can navigate even the most challenging liminal spaces. This is the path I’ve walked so far, and though I’m still finding my way, I welcome you to journey with me as we continue to grow, learn, and evolve together.
